Vincent Nicholas Cognetto Jr., 82, of New Hartford, departed this life on Wednesday, June 23, 2016, at his home, with his loved ones at his side.

He was born in Utica, the son of the late Vincent and Angelina (Vennaro) Cognetto. He was educated in local schools and employed at Upstate Furniture in sales and service, until his retirement, 10 years ago. He was united in marriage to Margaret (Peggy) LaLone on April 15, 1972.

Vincent will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Peggy; his daughters, Amy Jean Cognetto-Parrotte, and Melissa Ann Cognetto-Barone & her husband Michael; and his son, Vincent Nicholas III.   He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Steven, Hailey(William), Daizon, Darnae, Marcus, Josie, Madison, Vinny IV and a great grandchild, Mateo Vincent Ramos.   He was predeceased by his sister, Frances (Cognetto) Campanile and his brother, Anthony Cognetto "Tony Upstate".

Vincent's funeral will be held Monday, June 27, 2016, at 10am at the St.Patrick/St. Anthony Church, in Chadwick, NY, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, by the Rev. Abraham Esper. There are no calling hours.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
