Thomas J. McInerney died peacefully on the morning of May 6, 2026 in Fresno, California. He was 77 years old. (who would have believed!)

He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 10, 1948 to Margaret Karoty and Thomas J. McInerney. He and the whole family moved to Sherrill, New York in 1962 after their Father began working at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, New York.

He graduated from VVS High School in 1966 and enlisted in the Army, became a paratrooper and served during the Vietnam War.

He returned to the area and worked at Oneida Ltd before going to Arizona State University. He then worked at the VA hospital in Canandaigua, New York, before moving out west.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy and brothers Peter, John, Michael and Stephen.
