Theodore L. "Ted" Babicz, 89 of Utica departed this life on Saturday September 14, 2024 at his residence after a long illness.

He was born in Utica, NY the son of the late Stanley and (Stella Pobieglo)  Babicz and was educated in local schools. He was united in marriage to Jean H. Noga  on September 1,1956 and shared this sacred vow for over 60 years until Jean's passing on July 25,2017. Ted enlisted in the US Army in September of 1957 and was honorably discharged in September 1959. For several years he was employed at G.E Radio Receiver as an electrical technician. He  will be sadly missed by his   two children, Michael Babicz and his wife Kathleen, of Rome, NY and Gerrianne Hall.

Also surviving are his grandchildren: Andrew and Brittany Sloma, Michael and Katie Babicz, Amanda  and Jeremy Tapia, Hailey Babicz and her fiancé Christopher Davis, Brianna Jean Santy. Great grandchildren Wyatt and Aandon Babicz; Jaxsyn, Ryleigh and Bailey Ekes; Weston  and Cole Sloma, Lenora and Adalynn Tapia; Benjamin, Sophia and Grace Davis. Family  friends; Thomas Albright, Marj DeFazio and Barb Moraijda. He  was predeceased by a great granddaughter Mya Davis. He  also leaves his canine companion Chico.

Services will be held at Holy Trinity Cemetery  Wednesday September 18, 2024 at 12 Noon at graveside  with military honors conferred.
