Steven J.  Bogner at the age of 87, departed this life on Saturday, June 29,2024 with his loving family by his side.

Steven was born in Utica, NY the son of the late Steven and Mary Primer Bogner . He attended Blessed Sacrament Grammar School and later attended New Hartford High School.  He attended the Duchense School in advanced studies for Horticulture.

Steven was a local florist and operated along with his wife Marlene, Blooms by Bogner formerly known as Bogners Greenhouse..  He was a former member of the Greater Utica Floral Association and member of the Utica Jaycees. For many years he was a landscaper for many of the beautiful residences on the Parkway, Sherman Drive and Tabor Road and was beloved by his customers.

His hobbies few,  but leisure time was spent in Ogunquit, MA, Deerfield Beach FL and frequenting the many Greater Utica fine dining restaurants.

Steve was an animal lover having  loved more than one cat, ten dogs and one horse.

He is survived by his dedicated wife Marlene Palmieri Bogner who was by his side at every command; and his son Steven Bogner, III and his wife Debra Bogner,  His daughter Susan  Gruchy and her husband Eric; five beloved  grandchildren ; Jennifer, Christina, Nicole, Mellissa and Justin.  Also surviving are eight great grandchildren. His sister Joan Lyons and her husband Larry. He was predeceased by his brother  Charles Bogner.

Steven's family will honor him privately. There are no public calling hours. He will be laid to rest at St. Agnes Cemetery Utica, NY.
