Shirley J. Connor,75, of Sauquoit,NY passed away on December 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

Shirley was born in Rochester, New York on April 23, 1942, the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Roberts.  Shirley was a very caring person who not only took care of her ailing parents, aunt, and sister, but also was a nurse at St. Joseph's Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 2009.

Shirley is survived by her loving daughter, Christine Pal  and Scott Shaw of New Hartford, her grandchildren, Jordan Pal of San Francisco,. and Nathaniel Pal of Buffalo.  Survivors also include her loving sister, Mary Cash of Sauquoit, Mary's children Kim, Michael. and Katrina, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Betty Roberts, and Bonnie Brooks, her aunt Edith Robinson, and her nephew Scott Brooks.  She most recently lost her best friend, her canine companion Buster, who passed five days before her.

Shirley's Celebration of life will be held Wednesday Dec. 27,2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's St. Anthony's  Catholic Church, Chadwicks, New York, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Arthur Krawczenko. The family will greet visitors after the mass.
