Sandra K. "Sandy" Alsante Infusino, 73, a life long Utica resident died on Monday, December 14, 2020, who passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side.
Sandy was born in Utica on October 11, 1947, the daughter of the late parents Joseph and Gladys Zientak Alsante. Sandra is also the daughter of Robert C. Dawes, Janice Hilley and William Hilley.
Sandy is the loving mom of Michele Wozny, son-in-law Krzysztof Wozny and Nana to her granddaughter, Mia. Her whole world revolved around them.
Sandy was a graduate of Whitesboro. Sandy was formerly employed with Mele Manufacturing until she retired.
Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the casino playing bingo, watching the Hallmark Channel. She attended mass every Sunday and believed in faith and God.
Sandy was a dedicated mom first and foremost. She treasured her daughter, Michele and embraced, cherished and loved every moment with her. Michele was her whole world. She especially loved her role as a Nana. Mia was her little bestie and partner in crime.
She was a very caring person, and always willing to lend a hand. She had an amazing personality, and always made people around her laugh. Her laughter would brighten any day. She made friends everywhere she went and she loved to talk. She enjoyed her life. She had a knack for telling it the way it was, and not holding back her opinion. She always told you the truth even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. She had the biggest heart and loved unconditionally.
Sandy is survived by her mom, Janice Hilley, her sister, Licia Piekielniak and her husband, David. Her nephew, Eric Piekielniak, niece, Cindy Ellis and great nephew, Kyle Piekielniak. Her nephew, Jason Piekielniak and great nephew, Kellan Piekielniak. Her niece, Jamie Terchowitz and her husband David; great nephew, Brian Terchowitz and great niece, Jenna Terchowitz. Her sister-in-law Lorraine Dawes, nephew, Bob Dawes and wife, Laurie; great niece, Katie Dawes and great nephew, Connor Dawes. Her niece, Laura Dawes and great niece, Brianna Dawes. Her brother, Francis (Roc) Alsante and his wife, Sandy. Her nephews Curt and Chris Alsante. Her niece, Renee Alsante and great nieces Skyler, Grace and Briar Alsante. Her sister-in-law, Kathy Alsante, sister-in-law, Diane Alsante, nephew Joseph Alsante, niece, Denise and her husband, Jeff Lubey, great niece, Andrea Cartrobone and nephews, Andy, Joe, and Eric Lubey. Her niece, Carmen DiBrango and her husband, Carmen. Her great niece, Krista Smith, great nephews, Angelo and Paul DiBrango. Her best friend, Karen Young.
Sandy is preceded by her parents, Joseph and Glady Alsante, Robert C. Dawes and William Hilley, great grandparents, Carlie and Mickey Suits, and her uncle Dennis Suits. Her brothers, Robert W. Dawes, Eugene Alsante, Valentine Alsante, Joseph Alsante, Ronald Alsante, Virgil Alsante, Richard Alsante and Patrick Burns. Her sister-in-law, Barbara Alsante.
All whom loved her will never forget her undying love and caring for them.
There will be no calling hours.

Her celebration of life will be held Monday December 21,2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart and Saint Mary's Our Lady of Czestochowa Church,NYM where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev Arthur Krawczenko.
