Samuel R. Eaddy's Obituary
Samuel R. Eaddy, at age 91, departed this life on Tuesday May 16,2017 at Focus Rehab. and Nursing Center of Utica,NY
Sam was born in Manning, South Carolina, son of the late Edward and Queen Montgomery Eaddy. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 20,1943 and was honorably discharged, Oct 6,1943. He later relocated to the Northeast where he gained employment as a truck driver for many years.
Sam enjoyed old school black jazz musicians like Cabell"cab" Callaway, Louis Amstrong "Satchmo"and his musical stylings,along with driving his Harley back in the 70's
He is survived by his son Chiuna Eaddy,and wife Dechanta, three daughters; Alice Eaddy, Mary Lue Thompson and Anna Mae Spriggs.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, James David Eaddy and Samantha Mae Eaddy-Walker.
Sam's graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday June 16,2017 at 12:15 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery Cemetery,Utica,N.Y.
