Mr. Salvatore L. Garramone, 87, of Sauquoit,NY entered into rest on Thursday November 10,2011 at Faxton St. Luke's healthcare. He was born in Queens,NY the son of the late Gerard and Mary Gerardo Garramone and attended local schools. Mr. Garramone served our country during W.W. II and on November 26 ,1949 he married the former Angela DiMichele. Angela died January 9,2003. Salvatore was a Typesetter for the New York Times for many years . He was a communicant of St. Patrick's-St. Anthony's Church, Chadwicks,NY and a member of the Sauquoit Senior Center and the Elks club. He will be sadly missed by his Son Gerard and his Wife Maria; one sister Etta Garramone all of Sauquoit,NY. Also surviving is his daughter-in-law Maureen Garramone,NJ ; three granddaughters Nicole Garramone, Sauquoit,NY; Christina Hines and her husband Jon, Marcy NY; Jeanine Garramone ,NJ. Salvatore was pre-deceased by his son Richard who died in January of 2010 and grandsons Nicholas Gerard Garramone,1982 and Paul Garramone,2007. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00a.m. from the John L. Matt Funeral Home,3309 Oneida St, Chadwicks,NY and at 9:30a.m. at St. Patirck's - St. Anthony's Church,Chadwicks,NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
