Sally Ann Bacon, 81,  of Whitesboro, NY, departed this life on Wednesday April 26, 2023 at the Abraham House in Utica with her loved ones by her side.

She was born in Cassville,NY the daughter of the late  Kenneth and Bessie Palmer Whitacre and  was educated there. On Oct 5, 1963 Sally Ann Whitacre was united in marriage to  John Bacon the couple would have been celebrating   60 years of marriage.

Sally  was an avid reader and a  very friendly warm person. She was loved by all who new her and will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, John and her son, Joe Bacon and his wife Jeanne, her daughter Bethany Hoff, and her husband James,  of Rockton Ill.  Also surviving are her grandchildren James Hoff and his fiancé Katheryn, Portland, Maine ; Jonathan Hoff, Chicago,Ill.  Also surviving are her in laws Danny and Mary Bacon, of Clinton,NY and Polly Bacon of Latham,NY and dear friend Janet Hazelton, of Utica.

She was predeceased by her sister Carol Whitacre.

Sally's  service will be held Monday May 1, 2023 at 11 a.m.  at the John L Matt Funeral Home, 3309 Oneida St. Chadwicks,NY where her son Rev. Joe Bacon will officiate. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. till the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Clinton, NY at the convenience  of the family.
