Roger J. Tartaglia, 81 of New York Mills   and formerly of Utica departed this life on Easter Sunday Morning March 31,2024 at home.

Roger was born in Herkimer, NY the son of the late Anthony ( Blacky) and Josephine Sweet Tartaglia and was educated locally and graduate of       Proctor   High school.. Roger enlisted in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. On May 21,1966 Marilyn Massaro  and Roger were united in marriage  and shared that loving relationship of 56 years until her passing on November 11,2022.

Roger was employed lastly at Wal –Mart as  a greeter.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Pamela Fancher, grandchildren; Joshua Fancher and Allison Murray, Aimee Fancher and Kyle Waters, , Isabella Fancher and Michael Daniel, great grandchildren, Leah Fancher, Jaida Fancher, Aurora Fancher,  Malachi Ward, Starr Waters.

Two brothers and their wives, Joseph and Lorraine Tartaglia, Anthony and  Diane Tartaglia. His sister in law Beverly Massaro. Several nieces and nephews   and several close friends. He was predeceased by his in laws Harry and Antoinette Massaro  and brother in law Ronald Massaro.

Roger's Visitation   will be 4- 6 p.m. on Thursday April 4, 2024 at the John L Matt Funeral Home, 3309 Oneida St. Chadwicks,  NY. There will be a prayer service at the conclusion of calling hours.
