Roger Earl Stedman, 72, passed away comfortably on November 19th, 2016 at the Albany Stratton Veterans Hospital after a long battle with Chronic COPD.
He was born in Utica, NY the son of the late Bert and Mabel Cameron Stedman, he grew up in Chadwicks, NY and served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967.
In that time, he spent a total of 2 and a half years overseas. Upon his leave from the Service he then spent a number of years in North Carolina, prior to returning to New York to be with his family in 2010. In his final years he enjoyed the company of his many neices and nephews. Among them he held close his great niece, Tristan Hall of Gloversville, NY along with her two children, Lyric and Camryn. He was a kind, gentle, and humorous man that would do anything he could for those around him.
He is survived by his sister Lynne Croghan and a son Daniel M. Stedman, Utica, NY. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Hall. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a great great niece and great great nephew.
Roger's celebration of life will be held at a time to be announced at Crown Hill Memorial Park,Kirkland,NY.
