Robert "Munz" Jude Romanzo, 59, passed away on September 15, 2021 with his loving family by his side.  Bob was born on May 17, 1962 in Albany, NY to Samuel R. and Mary J. (Cerminaro) Romanzo.  He attended John F. Kennedy High School in Utica, NY and Mohawk Valley Community College.

Hired by the Oneida County Sheriff's Department in 1987, he worked and excelled at his dream job as a Deputy Sheriff, DARE Officer, Investigator and a member of the Drug Task Force until an injury forced his retirement in 2004.  Even after retirement he remained close with his law enforcement family.

Throughout his life nothing was more important to Bob than his family, and he was never happier than when he spent time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  Bob showed his love making sure everyone was well fed, particularly at his famous "pork parties."  Bob was a dear and close friend to many, and had a unique ability to make someone laugh or piss someone off simultaneously.  He loved the Adirondacks and especially trips to Lake Placid with his beloved wife, Dawn.

Bob is survived by his wife Dawn (Zastawny) Romanzo; children Christen and her fiancé Frank Sansone, Michael, Angela and her fiancé Luke Shaw, and Patty Romanzo; and his precious grandchildren Aubrie, Alicia and Elijah all of Utica, NY.  Bob is also survived by his siblings Daniel (Linda) of London, England, Anthony (Kaarn) of Ballston Spa, NY, Samuel (Cara) of Virginia Beach, VA and Antoinette (Steve) Smith of Scotia, NY; Stepmother Virginia (Stoddard) of Ballston Lake, NY; many nieces and nephews and special family members in South Carolina, North Carolina and New Jersey.  Bob was predeceased by his father Samuel R. Romanzo and his mother Mary J. Romanzo.

A celebration of his life was held at the family home in Utica, NY.  Funeral services will be private.
