Robert F. Crane, 81, of Sauquoit, NY, departed this life on Tuesday December 6, 2022, at the Pines of Utica.  He was born in New Hartford, a son of the late Stanley and Estelle Dutch Crane and was educated locally.

Bob was employed for 36 years with Verizon, retiring in 1995.  He had two passions, landscaping and helping the elderly.  He worked with the late Frank Aceti landscaper for 34 years, and would cook and do yard work for some of his elderly neighbors.

Bob is survived by his wife Shirley and three sons, Greg Crane and his wife Julie, Tim Crane, all of Frankfort, NY, and David Crane, of CA.  Also his grandson Garrett Crane, of Frankfort, his sister Barbara Hadley and nieces & nephews, Stephen and Jennifer Hadley, Will and Maya Hadley and Amy and Brian Barry.

Bob was predeceased by his brother in law James Hadley, Sr. and nephews James Hadley, Jr. and Jonathan Hadley.

In keeping with Bob's wishes there are no services.  His family gathered at a private time to honor his life. The family would like to thank the staff of the Pines of Utica, for the compassion, dignity and help with the transition.
