Robert E.  "Bob" Shorter, 77,  of Utica, NY,  departed this life on Monday May 13,2024 at Wynn Hospital Utica, NY.

He was born in Utica, NY, the son of the late Everett Norton Shorter and Anna Michalski Shorter and was educated in local schools. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1968 and was active in the Naval Reserves.

Bob worked as a construction  carpenter for many years,  and was a member of the Carpenters Union retiring  due to illness.

He is  survived by his daughter, Robin Shorter and her companion Russell Voce, and his in laws Cindy and Anthony Yero. He was predeceased by his companion Roseanne Czternastek.

Services with Naval Military Honors will be held on  Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.. at The Child's Chapel at Forest Hill Cemetery at 2201 Oneida St. Utica,NY a prayer service will follow . Friends can greet the family after the service. To send an online greeting go to :www.johnlmattfuneralhome.com
