Robert  "Bob" Francis Hosey, 93, of Sauquoit, NY departed this life on Wednesday May 31, 2023 with his loved ones by his side.

Bob was born in Utica, NY the son of the late Robert J. and Pauline DeCarlo Hosey. He was educated in Utica, NY and was a graduate of St. Francis De Sales High School. In 1950 Robert married the former Gloria Jean Fernalld  they celebrated  72  years.

Robert worked for NY Central RR for 30 years  and maintained  the bridges and buildings. He also was director of maintenance and plumbers  at St Elizabeth's Hospital for 15 years. His last place of employment was NYS Power Authority and was Drector of Maintenance.

He is survived by his  loving wife Gloria Jean and his six children ; Sandra  Romanick;,Fl,  Wayne Hosey and his wife Mary, Fl. Cathy Gornick her husband Jeff, New Hartford,NY,  Bonnie Peery, Sauquoit,NY,  Sharon Hosey, Utica, NY, Deanna  Hosey,  Cambridge, Mass. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren  and 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. One brother Donald Hosey, Calif. 2 sisters Patricia Rocco, Calif, Roberta Sardina, Utica,NY. Also  several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his  son Robert Hosey who died March 20, 2014.

Bob's celebration of life will be held Monday  June 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's St. Anthony's Church, 3369  Oneida St. Chadwicks ,NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Robert Weber. There are no calling hours. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Clayville, NY at the convenience of the family.
