Mr. Richard H. Bearse, Jr., 88, of Sauquoit, NY, departed this life on Thursday July 9,2026 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, NY with his loved ones by his side.

He was born in Hyannis, MA the son of the late Richard H. Bearse, Sr. and Mildred Platner Bearse. For most of his younger years the family resided in Hawaii returning to the states and the Utica area where he attended UFA graduating in 1956. He later enlisted in the Unites States Air Force and served our country honorably and was discharged honorably on Nov. 6, 1959.

In 1962 he was united in marriage to Beverly Smith together they had two sons Rick and Wayne and raised their family until her passing.

Dick was employed with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company and was an Assembler - Inspector retiring after 34 years of service.

He loved anything with a motor, over the years he has had several antique vehicles his favorite being his 1930 Model A Ford with which he enjoyed traveling to all the car shows. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and boating with his family.

He will be sadly missed by Barbara La Barge his domestic partner, where they shared 23 wonderful years together.

His two sons; Rick Bearse and his companion Kelly; Wayne Bearse and his wife Tracy; Also surviving are his grandchildren; Sean Bearse and his wife Lauren; and Mitchell Bearse; his great grandchildren, Collins and Padric. He is also survived by his brother; Paul Bearse and his wife Kris;

Dick’s family honored his life privately. As per his wishes there are no calling hours. He will be laid to rest at East Hill Cemetery, New Hartford, NY at the convenience of the family.
