Priscilla Jane Lehman was born November 29,1928 in Marcy, NY. She was the youngest of seven children born to Foster James Knight and Alice Knight (Houck). She was raised in the Utica area. After graduation from Utica Free Academy she completed one year of nursing at the Strong Memorial School of Nursing in Rochester, NY. After that she graduated from the Utica School of Commerce. It was at the Utica School of Commerce that she met George Lehman whom she married on June 2, 1956. George and Priscilla lived in Little Falls for about a year. They then moved back to Utica and have lived in New Hartford for the last 45 years.
Priscilla from a young age had a great love for science and nature. So it is no surprise that at the age of 16 she asked Jehovah's Witnesses who made regular visits with her parents, " What is this paradise on earth that you keep talking about?" They answered her question from the Bible and she became convinced that God is going restore his original purpose for the earth to be a paradise where there would be genuine peace and security for mankind. It was a Bible truth she could put her faith in. For the rest of her life she was determined to make that truth known to others. Priscilla was a devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed.
Priscilla is survived by her husband, George Lehman; her daughter Sharman Green and her husband Richard Green and her daughter, Andrea Lehman; her granddaughter Shannon Stone and her husband Darcy Stone and her grandson Sean Green; two sisters Margaret Arthur and Esther Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Foster Knight, Robert Knight, and Horace Knight.
