Paul V. Grimaldi, 86 of Utica,  NY, departed this life  Tuesday May 2, 2023 with his loved ones  by his side at the Masonic Care Community

He was born in Utica, NY the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Nicotera  Grimaldi he was educated and graduated  from TR High School and attended  MVCC. He served for six years as US Army Reservist.

On May 6,1967 he married the former Barbara Heiderich and  they shared 56 years  and would have been  celebrating their anniversary this Saturday May 6.  He was Superintendent for Buildings and  Grounds  for the Utica City School district retiring in 1999.

Paul enjoyed many years at his camp he built  at Hinckley Lake  (Black Creek landing).

Paul will be sadly missed and kept his family  first and enjoyed happy times with all of them.

Surviving him is his beloved wife, Barbara who he was very attentive  to.

Two daughters and son in laws who were like his own sons ; Lesli  Anweiler and her husband Chip, Kelli Grimaldi - Vance, and her husband Jason,    beloved grandchildren,  Madelynn and Shane Anweiler and Aiden Grimaldi - Vance.

He leaves his brothers,  Joseph Grimaldi,  Stanley Grimaldi and his wife Connie. A special Pita  cousin Angela Gentile.

He was pre deceased by his two sisters Gloria Grimaldi and Evelyn Trapani.

Paul's Celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 9 a.m. at Historical St John's Catholic Church, Utica, NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev Thomas Servatius.  Family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the service.
