Monica M. Turok, "Nee Chin", 82, most recently of Rome, NY, passed away July 6, 2016 at the Presbyterian Home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 27, 1934, in Kingston, Jamaica, the daughter of the late Alexander S. Chin and Iris D. Chin(Campbell). She was the beloved wife of Peter Turok and is survived by her daughters, Sandie LaGasee(Chris) of Rome, NY, and Michelle Hynes of Toronto, Canada. Her grandchildren Nathan and Daniel Hynes of Canada and Michael and Kristen LaGasse of Rome, NY. She is also leaves her brother John (Phoenie) Raymond, and her sister Pamela, Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held in August 2016. Expressions of sympathy may be donated to the American Cancer society.
