Monica A. Hage, 92, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away, peacefully, on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Waterville Residential Care Center where she and her husband moved in September 2021.

Monica was born in Amsterdam, NY, to the late Ralph and Louise Yevoli Califano and graduated from Amsterdam High School. She was united in marriage to Edward Hage on February 8, 1953, a wonderful marriage of 69 years until his passing in December 2022. Monica was employed by the New York Telephone Company until she started a family. She worked, briefly, for Phelps Glass Studio at Riverside Mall and in the Recreation Dept. at the Sitrin Home. She loved cooking and holidays at the Hage home, which were enjoyed by the whole family for many years.

Left to mourn her, are her three daughters, Diane Finch, Donna (Mike) Morris and Janet Bednarz; three granddaughters, Amanda (Chuck) Lydon, Rebecca (Mark) McFarland and Claudia Morris; three grandsons, Michael Morris, Christopher Bednarz and Nicholas Bednarz; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe and Charlie, Garrett and Parker; along with several nieces and nephews.

Monica was pre-deceased by her siblings and their spouses, Regina (Chester ) Watroba and Angelo (Dolly) Califano; in-laws, Joseph and Christine (Eddie's parents); his siblings and their spouses, Thomas (Helen) Hage, Michael Hage, Marion (Stanley) Gryscavage and Rose Hage; and son-in-law, James Finch.

The family would like to thank the staff at WRCC for all the kindness and care shown to our parents the last 2 years. We will never forget you.
