Michael G. Seakan, 86, of Whitesboro, NY, departed this life on Saturday, March 9,2024, at University Hospital, in Syracuse, NY, with his loved ones by his side.
Mike was born in Utica, NY, the son of the late Norman and Jennie Fanoun Seakan. He attended local schools and he enlisted in the Army Reserves, where he established the rank of Corporal and worked as a Mess Steward.
Mike was a self – employed entrepreneur, for many years, having his own vending company, along with several night clubs - The Electric Scene, Pandora House, where he became the pioneer in the lighting of the floors for the discos and also operated his own car dealership, for 35 years, retiring after illness. He was a pilot and flew his own airplane.
He was united in marriage to the former Judy Migliaccio on September 16, 1979; a marriage blessed with much love and commitment.
Mike was very caring and was a "go to guy" for many people and was always there for everyone and had the motto, "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say it."
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Judy; his son, Michael J. Seakan and his wife, Estelle; along with his grandchildren, Vincent and Carrie Mallozzi, Frank Mallozzi and Amorette Cavanaugh and her husband Timothy, Ashley Seakan and fiancé Josh Moynihan and Michael V. Seakan and Cora Owens; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, with mention of special nephew, Norman Seakan; in-laws, Theresa Zegarelli and Antoinette Tantillo, Ralph and Roseanne Migliaccio, Francis and Sandra Migliaccio.
Mike was predeceased by his daughter, Laurie Mallozzi; her mother, Patricia Sebregandio Russo; brother, Raymond and his wife, Florence Seakan; sister, Evelyn Keller and her husband, Fred; brothers- in-law, Remo Zegarelli, Thomas Migliaccio and Sam Tantillo.
Mike's Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony St. Agnes Church, 422 Tilden Ave., Utica, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. James Cesta. Friends may greet the family after Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
