Mr. Michael J. Doti, Sr., 86, of Utica, departed this life on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Utica Rehab and Nursing with his loved ones by his side.

He was born in Utica, NY, the son of the late Rocco and Rose Medici Doti and was educated in local schools. On December 11, 1965, Michael and Laura J. Kettel were united in marriage and have been blessed with a commitment of nearly 58 years. Michael was employed, for many years, with Utica Corp., retiring in 2008. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed his times at Turning Stone Casino.

He will be sadly missed and is survived by his wife, Laura; three children: daughter, Michele Campese and her husband, Stephen, of Marcy, sons, Michael Doti and his wife, Becky and Rocco Doti, all of Utica; grandchildren, Amanda Vennaro and her husband, Andy, Justin Edgar, Nicole Bonvicino, Michael Doti, Matthew Doti, Christine Castle, Steven John and Adrianna Doti; two great-grandchildren, Riley Vennaro and Damon Castle; two great-great-grandchildren, Toby and Landon; sisters, Angela Perritano and her husband, Leo and Angela Bader; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather and visit on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the John L. Matt

Funeral Home, 3309 Oneida St., Chadwicks, from 5 p.m-7 p.m. Michael's Celebration of Life will commence at 7 p.m. after the visitation.
