Mary R. Orsaio, 93, of Utica, NY, departed this life on Wednesday Dec. 29, 2021 at the Siegenthaler Center, surrounded  by  her loved ones.

Mary was born in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late Ciro F. and Isabelle Gerundino Raspante and was educated in local schools.  In 1948 Mary was united in marriage to John J. Orsaio, "Johnny O".  They shared a loving union of 72 years until his passing March 27, 2020.  In 1971 Mary helped establish and assisted her husband at the Big "O" Bakery.  She continued to assist her son John Jr., up until this past Thanksgiving.

Mary will be sadly missed by her two daughters,  Angela Orsaio, Gina Orsaio and Kate Kenderdine, and her son John Orsaio, Jr. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Mary V. Orsaio, Jonelle B. Orsaio and Angelina J Orsaio.  Also surviving is her brother Ciro Raspante and several nieces, nephews, many cherished friends and loyal customers from the Big "O' Bakery.

There are no calling hours.  The family has gathered privately to honor Mary's life.

All are invited to a chapel service at Resurrection Chapel Holy Trinity Mausoleum which will be forthcoming in January 2022 .  Inurnment will follow at the convenience of the family.
