Mrs Mary P. Mazza, 94, of New Hartford, NY departed this life on Saturday May 22, 2021, at the Presbyterian Home.
Mary was born in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late John and Madeline Palumbo Postiglione, and was a graduate of Proctor High school. She was united in marriage to Fred G. Mazza in June 28, 1947, a loving commitment of 64 years, until Fred's passing in December 9, 2011.
Mary was employed as a secretary with GE Radio Receiver for many years and later worked in the family business of Fred Mazza 's World of Appliances. She was a talented painter and writer who published "end of the Eclipse" in 1975. Mary was a lady of class and carried herself with poise. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be sadly missed.
Mary is survived by her three children; Marilyn Kowalski and her husband John, Fred J. Mazza and his wife Dawn, Gary J. Mazza and his wife Louise. Also her beloved grandchildren; Miranda Crossley, Megan Mazza (Wilson) and Andrew Wilson, Marissa Mazza (Carlisle) and Clay Carlisle, Mariel Mazza , Gary H. Mazza and Jake D. Mazza, great grandchildren; Jaden Gray, Arjen Dymond, Luca Wilson, Rory Wilson, Olive Carlisle and Wallace Carlisle and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her siblings; Josephine Monescalchi,2000 and her husband Joseph 1990, Antoinette Fiore,2013 and Nick Postiglione,1995 and his wife Lillian,2016 .
A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery Christ Our Savior Chapel. Following the service Mary will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held later this fall where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford, NY and at the convenience of the family. A special thank you to her caregivers at the Presbyterian Home, especially to Cindy and Marsha. Donations can be made to the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford, NY. in memory of Mary Mazza.
