Mary Edith Culp,83,of Utica,passed away on Saturday, September 16,2017 at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare after a short illness.
She was born in Monroe City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Howard and Alice Warren Kizer; she was educated there and attended Kansas University, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked for NYS Dept. of Health for many years, retiring in 1999.
She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Culp and his wife, Karen, of Verdi, NV and Bruce Culp and his wife, Melody, of Youngstown, FL; two grandchildren, William and Martin Culp; and her great-grandchild, Aspen Rose Culp. Also surviving are one brother, Phillip Kizer and his wife, Phyllis, of AZ; and one sister, Katheryn Darrow, of MA. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alice Virginia Stephens and Howard Kizer, Jr.
As per her wishes, there are no calling hours or services. Family will honor her life in a private matter.
