"Peggy" Gardner
February 11, 1941 – January 8, 2025
Margaret A. "Peggy" Gardner, 83, of Cassville,, NY passed into glory at home, with her loving family by her side. She was born to John and Eva (Barringer) Carney. She married John M. Gardner Sr. on January 12, 1974. He predeceased her on December 17, 2003.
She was also predeceased by her youngest daughter, Eva T. Monaghan, brothers, Jack and Jim, sister, Sandy, three nephews, Timmy, Claude and Mike.
She is survived by her four daughters; Laurie (Norm) Seymour, Charlene Rose, Debra (Ben) Williams and Donna ( Mike ) Pierce-Parment. She leaves 14 grandchildren, including a special grandson, Jeremy Pierce, 20 great grandchildren, many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, foster children and friends, including her life long friend, Faith.
Peggy and John raised five daughters together, and dozens of foster children, many whom were still in close contact with her. Peggy was a loving and generous woman, always giving of herself and her time. She never turned anyone away, and loved to feed everyone. She loved her family and the Lord. Peggy truly was the mom everyone wishes they had.
The family would like to thank Hospice and their amazing staff, especially Ann, Julie, Stephanie and Jan.
Per Peggy's wishes, there will be no services at this time. There will be a celebration of life in the spring at a time to be announced. Interment will be in the spring at Norwich Corner's Cemetery next her husband John.
Donations may be made to Hospice in Oneida County in her memory.
