Madeleine Karam, 74, of Utica, N.Y. departed this life on Sunday Nov. 10, 2024 at Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Madeleine was born in Sarine, Lebanon, one of seven children to the late Milad and Genevieve Boumousi Moses, she was educated there. In the summer of 1969 she met and married George B. Karam in Sarine, Lebanon the couple came to this country and to the Rome area to raise their family, her beloved George B. Karam died in 2000.

Madeleine leaves behind her children : Two sons, Douglas and (Fredice) Karam, Joseph and (Jennifer) Karam, one daughter Genevieve (Frank) Tallarino. A daughter in-law Joy Karam, and is predeceased by a son George J. Karam.

Also her 10 grandchildren, Shannon(Benjamin) Gietzen, Matt and (Tess) Karam, Korryn, Cisco, and Dominick Tallarino, Brandon Karam, Rayna and Sedona Karam, and 4 great grandchildren.

Madeleine leaves behind her siblings in Lebanon, many nieces and nephews.

Madeleine's family will gather privately to honor her life. There will be a prayer service at Christ Our Savior Chapel at Calvary Cemetery (upper Chapel) on Friday November 15, 2024 at 11:30am where the Rev.
