Lynne
Burr
October 25, 2024
Lynne Burr, 69 (always 44 if you asked her) of New Hartford passed away on 10/25/2024 in Utica, NY. She was born on August 14, 1955 in Buffalo, NY.
Lynne led a remarkable life filled with her passions and accomplishments. She dedicated her life to crafts in many different forms such as painted boxes & rocks, plastic canvas tissue box covers and crocheting. She sold these crafts for years at different craft fairs across the counties making friends along the way, she had that way about her, you loved our mother when you met her and knew her. Lynne raised her four children in Buffalo, NY while obtaining her degree in Drug and Alcohol counseling and worked for Benedict House after obtaining her degree. While Lynne worked hard for others she also worked hard for herself. She was a recovering alcoholic, and a member of AA. She was clean from a month after her youngest daughter was born. This was one of Lynne's biggest accomplishments and was never shy about having talks about, her AA family was just as strong as her blood family in the Utica area, she will miss you all. Lynne worked for OHM Boces for more than 20yrs, a job she loved
Lynne is survived by her beloved children Amy Conley, David Burr, Amanda Burr & Lyndi Craft. Grandchildren: Elijah, Gwen, Emmalee, Gabby, Evelynne, Christina, Russell, Samantha. Sister, Eileen Wilkinson, In-Laws Esther Pszczolkowski, Carl Burr Sr.(Marylou), Patty Collea & Beverly Garner and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents George & Marjorie Wagener, siblings' Patricia Roberts (Chuck), George Jr., Nancy Galati (Tony), brother-in-law Patrick Burr Sr. (Lori). With special mention of former student and friend, Mollie Mahoney. Lynne will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

To the staff at The Wynn hospital, specifically the 6th & 8th floors, your care has been extraordinary. Our mom was cared for several times in the past year while battling cancer, complications from chemo and she would refer to her stays there has "vacations". We cannot thank you enough, you do not get enough credit as health care workers. We would especially like to thank Dr. A. Butala, Dr. N. Shah and Athena Chandy-Perkins, RN, the compassion shown to not only our mother but to our family will never be forgotten. The family would also like to thank Theresa for all the time and care she gave our mother right until the end, thank you Theresa
