Obituary

Sauquoit, NY Mr. Louis "Bill" William Brockett, 86, passed away with his loved ones by his side on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the St. Lukes Home. Born in Utica on January 1, 1925, Bill was a son of Louis and Ruth Patterson Brockett Sr.. He was educated in local schools. On August 16, 1958, he was joined in marriage to Eleanor Inez Bartlett and they have enjoyed fifty three loving years together. Louis was a longtime barber and was employed at the Utica Psychiatric Center for over thirty years retiring in 1983. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and also enjoyed watching sports on TV. He was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Church in Clayville which is now St. Patrick's - St. Anthony's Church in Chadwicks. He is survived by his beloved wife Eleanor, five children, Mike and Tammy Brockett of Sauquoit, Sharon and Ken Kline, of West Winfield, Donna Brockett and Gary Nunno, of Herkimer, Laurie and Rick Davis, of Evans Mills and David Brockett and Heather Wyslvzaly, of Leonardsville ; grandchildren, Tom, Keith and Paul Brockett, Kim Frederichs, Mary Brockett and Michael Nunno, and William Davis and Ken Wyslvzaly; a brother and sister in law, Bruce and Frances Brockett, West Winfield, a sister Beverly Ellis, Clinton, a sister in law, Janice Brockett, a brother in law, Carl Townsend and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Brockett and two sisters Betty Townsend and Barbara Brockett. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:00 am at St. Patrick's - St. Anthony's Church in Chadwicks. Interment will be in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. There are no calling hours, the family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass. The family would like to offer their deepest thanks to the nursing staff of St. Lukes Home, Clark North for the care shown to Bill during his stay there.
