Loretta A. Barone, 82 of Utica, entered eternal rest on June 7,2020 at the Presbyterian Home following a long illness.

Loretta was born in Utica on 1/20/1938. She is the daughter of Salvatore and Carmella (Zito) DiFiore. She attended Utica schools. She worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield until 1968. She married Joseph Barone on October 14, 1961. Theirs was a blessed Union of 55 years full of love and devotion until Joseph's passing in 2016.

Loretta was a homemaker . She prided herself on making anyone in her home feel like family and loved to spoil them with her love for baking and cooking. Family time was cherished by Loretta, and she especially enjoyed gathering for the holidays , having cook outs and time with her sons. She loved being able to spend her time with her grandaughter and their bond will always be a special one. She loved to shop and attend craft shows, especially when accompanied by her daughter in law or friends. Her gentle and truly giving spirit will be sadly missed.

Loretta is survived by her son Anthony Barone, her son Joseph and his wife Mary and her granddaughter Tori Barone. She is survived by one sister in law Jennie Di Fiore, many nieces nephews and cousins and friends.She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Rosario(Jennie),Albert and her sister Santina. Brother in law Peter Barone and his wife Rosina.
