Lieselotte "Lotte" Edgar, 88, departed this life on Saturday April 29, 2023 at The St. Luke's Home with her loved ones by her side. She will now be reunited with the love of her life, Edward Edgar.

She was born in Neumarkt, Germany, the daughter of the late Johann and Walburga Wernhammer Riegel. She was educated in Germany, and it is there where she met and married Edward V. Edgar after the war. They came to the U.S. after his discharge in 1954 and the couple resided in Ilion, NY where they raised their family and celebrated 69 wonderful years together. Her beloved Eddie died on January 7, 2023.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law: Lori Scarafile and her husband Michael, Lisa DeKanek and her husband Charles (Chuck).  Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren who meant the world to her- Charles Scarafile and Michaela Scarafile, who will miss their special Omi.
