Lenora S. Magnesio, 101, of Middletown, Delaware, and formerly of Utica-New Hartford, NY, departed this life on Saturday September 24, 2022, at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE, with her loved ones by her side.
Lenora was born in Utica, the daughter of the late Alfonso Spoto and Marie Ruffo Spoto Scilingo. She was educated in Utica and was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School. She furthered her education and received an Art Degree at MWPI. She worked for many years in the administration office at the Bank of Utica.
Lenora is survived by her children, Charles (Chuck) Magnesio and his wife Sandra, Pittsfield MA, Joseph Magnesio and his wife Marilyn, Houston TX, Lauren Dorsey, Sherman Oaks CA, Mary Lourdes Wilber and her husband Jeffrey, Middletown DE, with whom she resided, John Magnesio and his wife Clair, Lake Mahopac NY. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren Laura Flenniken, Stacy Magnesio, Joey Magnesio, Betsy Ordnung, Lauren Larson, Jeffrey and Andrew Wilber, Peter and Paul Magnesio and six beloved great grandchildren, Anders, Finn, Leif, Brooks, Charley, Cole and Cooper. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and cousins. Lenora was predeceased by her brother, Alfonso "Sonny" Spoto. There are no calling hours Lenora's celebration of life will be held on Thursday Sept. 29, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, 2222 Genesee St. Utica, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Salerno. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Utica, NY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice/Accent Care, 220 Continental Drive suite 407, Newark DE 19713 phone 302-533-3800.
