Kim Marie Shaheen, 53, passed away as result of an automobile accident in Georgia on Oct 30,2017.
She was born in New Hartford, NY, the daughter of George and Linda Ulrich Shaheen and was a graduate of New Hartford High School. She attended the Utica School of Commerce where she completed a program of Business Studies.
At one time, Kim was employed by the Oneida County Probation Department and later worked for the New Hartford Central School District.
She was also employed with the NYS Unified Court System as a legal transcriptionist. Kim was an avid quilter and a member of many quilt guilds.
She was married to Michael V. Ules II and from that marriage they had two children Michael V. Ules, III and Rebecca L. Ules. She was later united in marriage with Wardell Simon, Jr. on Aug 16,2016 until her passing.
Kim was a very loving, affectionate, and compassionate woman who loved life and formed many loving and lasting friendships. She will be sadly missed by her family: her son Michael and his wife Kaleigh; her daughter Rebecca; her husband Wardell Simon Jr.; her parents George and Linda Shaheen; her grandchildren Kaiden and Aubree Ules; her sister Renee Shaheen; her brother George Shaheen II and his wife Sheila; her Aunt Lamya Shaheen Stowens; her uncle the Honorable Anthony F. Shaheen; uncle John and aunt Patty Shaheen; her Uncle Raymond Ulrich and his wife Kathleeen. Also surviving her mother-in-law Marjorie Simon; and in-laws; Don and Laurie Simon, Dolores Simon- Burgess and Ronda Darity; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends, and her canine companion Simba.
The Divine Liturgy of the Faithful Departed will be celebrated on Monday Nov. 6, at 11a.m. at St Louis Gonzaga Church celebrated by Father Aaron Sandbothe. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Sunday Nov. 5 from 2- 5 p.m. The prayer of the incense will be at 5 p.m.
