On Saturday, July 9, 2022, Kenneth Corr, loving son, brother and friend, lost his battle with mental illness at the age of 30. Kenny was born on March 24, 1992 in Utica, NY to Daniel and Sheila Corr.
Kenny graduated from New Hartford Senior High School in 2010, where he exceled in athletics, including wrestling, lacrosse and football. Like his dad, he had a passion for Syracuse basketball, the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Rams.
Kenny also had a great love of the outdoors. He
enjoyed fishing, swimming or anything to do with
the water and was happiest fishing and hunting with his dad, uncles and cousins. Kenny had a special bond with his twin sister, Krissy, and the two of them shared many adventures together in the Adirondacks. Kenny particularly enjoyed taking his sister hunting and their most treasured memories were made in the woods.
He was employed at the Sauquoit Post Office for several years and could always be counted on to provide a helping hand to coworkers, friends, family, teammates -- even people he just met. He will be remembered fondly for his warm smile and big heart.
Kenny is survived by his parents; twin sister, Kristina Corr and her fiancé Mason Olmstead; brothers Justin Rech (Mary), Michael Rech and Ryan Rech (Stephanie). He is also survived by several cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friend, Kaitlyn Carr.
The family would like to give special thanks to his Uncle Bob Corr, Dennis Philipkoski (Flip) and his cousin and best friend, Billy Cougan, for everything they did for Kenny. We will be forever grateful for you. The family would also like to acknowledge Kenny's recently deceased Uncle David Corr, who spent so much time with Kenny – we know you are fishing together now.
Calling hours will be held Friday, July 15th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the John L. Matt Funeral Home – 3309 Oneida Street, Chadwicks, NY 13319. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 16th at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's
