Kathy A. Falvey, of New Hartford, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at The Lutheran Home.  She was 70. She was born on November 20, 1950, in Lakewood, OH. She entered nursing school at the age of 19, upon graduating Kathy started her nursing career at Lutheran Medical Center and continued to Mount Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. Throughout her career she worked at many different hospitals in the Utica area in critical care, and prior to her retirement she spent her last years of her nursing career at Faxton Hospital Endoscopy Unit. On July 11, 1981, Kathy and Joseph Falvey were joined in marriage. Kathy and Joe have been blessed with 40 years of marriage, which displayed true love and commitment. A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Kathy lived her life passion by caring and providing for her loved ones. When she wasn't nursing, she spent her time gardening her flowers or knitting, not only just for her loved ones, but also for people in need. Kathy participated in Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at St. Joseph & St. Patrick's for twelve years. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Maxine Hunter, her brother, Lt. John Hunter, U. S. Army, her mother and father-in-law, Edward and Sara Falvey. Kathy is survived by her husband Joseph Falvey; her daughters Jennifer Ross, her spouse Greyson Ross, Sara Walker, her spouse Todd Walker and Emily Falvey; her sister Martha Dennis and her spouse Dave Dennis; Many beloved brother and sister in-laws: Ann Falvey; Edward Falvey; Eileen Falvey; Mark and Charmaine Falvey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family invites you to Kathy's funeral mass. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Jan 30 ^th at 10; 00 AM at St. John the Evangelist, 66 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY. There are no public calling hours. Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be followed. Please arrive early to complete contact tracing paperwork.
