Karen L. Zumpano Juteau, 58, departed this life on November 21, 2014, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born May 10, 1956, to the late Salvatore Zumpano and Joan Demott Mayhew. She attended and graduated from Proctor High School. Karen is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Shannon and Larry Strobeck of Frankfort, and Tara Resser of Florida; three grandchildren, Dayna Strobeck, Tyler Strobeck and Kamryn Watson. She is also survived by three sisters, Anita Price of West Edmonston, Laura Maithsen of Herkimer and Melody Sherman of Florida, and her stepfather, Richard Mayhew of Herkimer. Survivors also include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a special uncle, Bernie Zumpano. Karen leaves a special friend, Tony Lapolla and close friends, Jeff and Carol Dennis. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandmother, Frances Zumpano, her grandfather, Ceasar Zumpano, a sister, Denise Williams and a nephew, Walter Becraft Jr. Special thanks to Bernie Zumpano and Nora Keen, Carol Dennis, the Hospice staff and all our close friends and neighbors.
