Joseph "Joey" P. Vennaro, 80, of Marcy NY, departed this life peacefully on November 1, 2024.

He was born in Utica, NY on March 11th, 1944 and went to Kemble school as well as UFA. Working as an expert welder/fabricator for most of his career, he proudly founded his own business, Vennaro Welding, which thrived throughout the 1990's. Eventually taking a job at Empire Recycling, where he worked for several years before his much-deserved retirement in 2020.

An incredibly selfless person; Joey was always willing to go out of his way to help others with his generosity, and brightened the lives of those around him. His family knew him as a kind-hearted man, who would lend a hand at a moment's notice. He was an avid enthusiast of collector cars and motorcycles, even having an award-winning Harley he named "Brown Sugar." Joey was also a fan of motorsports, and became quite the film collector in his later years. A dog lover, Joey had many canine companions of which he cherished throughout his life: Moose, McGregor, Sullivan, Trooper, and Shaun.

Affectionately known as "pops" or "pop pop" by his beloved children and grandchildren, his memory is carried on by his surviving sons Joe and Andy, as well as grandsons Taylor, Joey and Riley. Stepdaughters Jenny and Deinna. His dear sisters, Nicolette, Annete and Barbara as well as his brother Edward. Also survived by his dedicated partner, Rita, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.He is predeceased by both his parents; Peter and Antonette Vennaro, and his brother, Nicholas.

Joey will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
