Joseph Michael Basilio III, at the age 32, died unexpectedly, Sunday, December 13, 2020, in his New Hartford home.  He was born in Syracuse on March 11, 1988 to Mark and Donna (Baker) Basilio and grew up in Canastota, graduating from Canastota High School.  He attended SUNY Morrisville.

Joey is survived by his mother and step-father Gerald Wargo of Holland Patent; two sisters, Emilee (Andrew) Jones of Deerfield and Jamie Schorer of Holland Patent; a brother, Steven (Tyra) Schorer III of Holland Patent; a niece, Madeline Jones of Deerfield; a nephew, Sawyer Jones of Deerfield; three uncles, James Basilio and life-partner Mark Degon of Tennessee, and Noel (Mikki) Baker of Syracuse; four aunts, Lorraine (Jimmy) Ray of Tennessee, Della (Byron) Macchietto of Nevada, Sandra Basilio of Bridgeport, and Trudi (Nathan) Glenn of Flordia; maternal grandparents Harold and Diane Baker; and many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his father; two uncles, Paul Basilio and Harry Baker; paternal grandparents Michael and Lois Logiudice; maternal grandparents Marlene and Robert Omilanowicz; and his beloved Poppy, Armando Basilio.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, services will be held at a future date in order to allow for the attendance of his many friends and relatives.
