John Backo born and raise in Binghamton New York, passed away Monday February 8 th 2016 from complications to lung cancer at the age of 76.

John was born on September 28, 1939 to Joseph and Anna Backo. He spent most of his life working in a saw mill near his home in Susquehanna Pennsylvania. In that time he spend being an amazing dad and grandparent. In 2014 his wife and he moved to Oriskany Falls New York to be with their daughter, son-in-law and his newest granddaughter. Where he enjoy the remainder of his life.

John is survived by his wife Dorothy, four children Dodi, Jeff, Allen, and Holly; his five grandchild: Sierra, Mackenzie, Mathew, Lanna, and Axton, also by his sister MaryAnn Bowell and several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Backo and his brothers Joseph and Paul Backo .

His family is having a small private ceremony in his honor.
