Jean L. Perkins 93,of Sauquoit,NY departed this life on Saturday September 3, 2022 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.

Jean Elizabeth Loomis was born on November 17 ^th 1928 to George and Doris Aldinger Loomis in Utica, NY. She graduated from the Chadwicks High School in 1945 and the Culver Academy of Beauty Culture in Syracuse in 1946. One of her proudest accomplishments was running her own business, the Jean Beth Beauty Shoppe. She loved taking care of her flowers, both inside and out of her home and played the piano almost every day.

On February 17, 1951 she married Jack W. Perkins in the Sauquoit Methodist Church, a happy union until his passing in 2013.

She leaves behind 2 daughters Patricia Perkins of Newville, NY and Pam (Don) Backman of Sauquoit, NY, 6 grandchildren, Ian Giudilli (Sheanna Ramsey), Vaughn Hodom, Emilie Hodom (Zach Sweet), Leslie (Scott) Simmons, Daniel Lape and Greg Lape, 8 great-grandchildren Scotty (Jenise Crosthwaite), Courtney, Randy, Megan, Jaden and Carter Simmons, Jemma Giudilli and William Sweet and 1 great-great-granddaughter Amelia Simmons. She also leaves her brother and sister-in-law Robert & Bonnie Loomis, New Hartford and several nieces and nephews including her God-son Bob Loomis.

A special thank you to her neighbors and friends Linda Monescalchi and Noni Misiaszek. She will be laid to rest with her husband at a time convenient to the family in the Sauquoit Valley Cemetery.
