Jean F. Bender 92, of Clarks Mills,  NY, departed this life on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at St.Elizabeth Medical Center.

She was born in in Syracuse, NY the daughter of  the late  Wesley  and Mrea  Coulter Failing.

On December 18,1948 she married William A Bender Sr, they were married for 66 years before his passing in February 2015.

She is survived by two sons, William (Linda) Bender, Jr of Central Square and John Bender of Clark Mills, and one grandson, William Bender III of Morgantown,PA .

She was  formerly employed by Price Chopper.  Upon retirement she spent her spare time quilting and knitting. As an avid quilter she enjoyed meeting fellow quilters at various retreats and was a founding member of  United Methodist Quilt Guild.
