On July 1, 2014, Irene S Riker, at age 93, left this world to join her spouse Howard "Bud" Riker . Irene was born in Blackwood, Wales, the daughter of the late Albert and Kate Morgan Snelgrove. Irene was a nurse in a hospital in Warminster Britain during WWII, when she met Howard, who was a Sergeant in the US Army. Irene lived in Utica for the last 68 years, where she worked as a floral designer, and was loved by many . Irene leaves her three sons, Robert Riker and his wife Laraine Ericson, Newfield, NY, Michael Riker, Pahrump, NV, and David Riker and his wife Robbin, of Sauquoit, NY. Also her four grandchildren Dylan Riker, Tiffany Riker, Heather Riker and David James Riker. Also surving is her brother, Ken and several nieces and nephews in Wales . In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the America Heart Association. Service will be held Monday, 10 am, at Christ Our Savior Chapel in Calvary Cemetery, where the Rev.
