Henry W. Grillo, 82 of Utica, NY departed this life on Friday February 10, 2023 at Rome Hospital, Rome,NY.

He was born in Utica,NY the son of the late Ralph and Angelina Perri Grillo and was educated in local schools and  later enlisted in the National Guards as Military Policeman.

Henry was a barber for 50 years located at Oneida Square Barber Shop, continuing on the profession his late father, Ralph M. Grillo started.

Henry was the owner of Grillo's Firearms and was extremely knowledgeable in the history, characteristics and all aspects of collectible firearms.

His hobbies were gardening, making dried Italian sausage, shooting, fishing and he enjoyed the casino.

During his long illness, his nephew Mark dedicated himself to provided caregiving for his beloved Uncle so that Henry could have a happy life, go traveling, see events and visit his favorite restaurants instead of being confined to a nursing facility.

He is survived by his sister, Maria A.(Grillo) Mazzarella of Jupiter FL,  brother, Dr. Marshall (Margara) Grillo of Lady lake FL. His nephews; Mark Ralph Mazzarella of Port St Lucie, FL., Stephen Mazzarella III of Denver CO., David (Mariella) Mazzarella of Beijing, China and several other family members.

Henry was pre deceased by his brother Ralph Grillo Jr., and sister Josephine Roberts.

Services will be in the spring where he will be laid to rest at the family plot in Calvary Cemetery, Utica, NY.
