Gertrude A.  Molampy, 97, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 in the Grand, a caring and loving nursing home and rehabilitation center in Utica,NY.

Gertrude was born on January 14,1926 in Utica, NY. On July 13 1944 she married Gordon Molampy in Charleston, SC. Her first and most heartfelt job was staying home and raising her three sons. In 1965, Gordon and Gertrude purchased the historic landmark.  The North Bay Hotel in North Bay, NY.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon E.  Molampy and her son, Gary Molampy. Gertrude leaves behind her two sons,  Gordon ( Patricia) Molampy, Victor, NY and Gregory Molampy, Utica,NY; daughter-in-law Alice Molampy, Lord's Valley, PA; grandchildren, Kimberly ( Michael ) Doherty,  Lindsay (  Jason ) Veomett and Katherine ( Andrew) Jarosz; and great grandchildren, Jaxon, Parker, Gavin, Cayden and Emerson. She is also survived by many cousins.
