Obituary

George John Lehman

( February 17, 1929 - September 13, 2019 )

George John Lehman was born February 17, 1929 in Little Falls, New York. He was the youngest of six children born to John and Mary (Laubenstein) Lehman. He was educated in Little Falls and was a graduate of the Utica School of Commerce. It was at the Utica School of Commerce that he met Priscilla Knight whom he married on June 2, 1956. George and Priscilla lived in Little Falls for about a year. They then moved to Utica and lived in New Hartford for about 45 years. George spent his last year and a half living in Clinton, NY, as a widower.

George was a hard worker. He loved a good card game. He loved good food and it was well known by family and friends how he especially loved his desserts. He enjoyed working in the garden for he loved the earth. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses he was convinced from his studies of the Bible that Jehovah God was going to make the earth a paradise as He originally intended. Then there will be genuine peace and security for mankind. George had great faith and hope that he will get to live in that Paradise earth when it is God's time to bring it about. George was a devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed.

George is survived by his daughter, Sharman Green and her husband Richard Green, and his daughter Andrea Lehman; his granddaughter Shannon Stone and her husband Darcy Stone and his grandson Sean Green; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Ruth Warmuth, Dorothy Stock, Esther Lehman, Louise Lehman, and his brother John Lehman.

Services will take place at the convenience of the family.
