Obituary

Francis R. “Bob” Rowe passed away on May 2, 2026, to be recycled into the infinite

mysteries of God’s creation”

Written by Bob Rowe

Bob was just shy of 97, born May 28, 1929, the son of the late Francis M. and Marion(Solan) Rowe. He was educated in local schools and colleges. He served in the US Army from 1948 to 1952. In 1951 he was married to his highschool sweetheart LenaMallozzi, a lasting, caring and sharing union of 63 years until her passing in 2013.

Bob was employed by General Electric for 37 years, retiring in 1992. In his younger years he enjoyed flying airplanes and parachuting, obtaining his license to fly at 16 years old, even before getting a driver's license. He had a great sense of humor, was very intelligent and was able to fix anything, and he enjoyed a good glass of scotch.

He is survived by his three children, David Rowe, Maureen Rowe Owens, and Kenneth Rowe. Bob also leaves a sister in law, Esther Cacossa, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Lena, he was predeceased by two sisters, a nephew, and several brother and sister in laws, and his beloved cat companion Cedar.

The family wishes to thank all his doctors and nurses for their compassionate care over the years, Dr. Naji ElKhoury, Kara and Kerry, Melissa, Julie and all his visiting nurses. And a special thanks to his primary caretaker, his son Ken.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of food or flowers the family request to share a happy memory, raise a glass and cheers to Bob and a long life well lived. He is now with Lena again, the love of his life. Fly high Dad!
