Mrs. Evelyn R. Dowd, 93 of 9408 Paris Hill Rd. Sauquoit,NY died Wednesday September 20,2006 at Faxton St.Lukes healthcare with her family by her side. She was Born In Washington Mills, Ny the daughter of the late Fred and Jessie Newhouse Magadieu and was educated in local schools. On July 17,1937 she married Michael Dowd the couple just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Dowd worked at the Willowvale bleachery for many years. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church Clayville, NY. She is survived by her Husband Michael. ; One son Donald Dowd and his wife Mary Lou ,all of Sauquoit. Three Daughters Mrs. Barbara Garbera and Husband Harry of Richfield Springs; Mrs. Kathleen Brown and Husband George , of Sauquoit, Ny and Susan Barkley, Cassville; One brother Donald Magadieu and wife Gloria ,of Chadwicks,NY Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was Pre-deceased by 2 sisters and 1 Brother. Evelyn's Funeral will be held at 10:15 a.m. Under the Guidance of John L. Matt,J r. Funeral Director-Francis W. Fisk Funeral Home,3309 Oneida St. Chadwicks,NY and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church Clayville, NY where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
