Obituary

West Winfield,NY Ethel E. Sweet, 73, of West Winfield, NY entered into rest on Saturday March 27, 2010 with her loved ones by her side. Ethel was born in Oxford, NY the daughter of the late Orvie and Daisy May Perkins Ellis and was educated in local schools. On August 10, 1968 she married Roy Sweet in Vermont and they celebrated a union of 24 years until his passing on June 6,1992. Ethel worked for many years at Bardin's General Store in Clayville, NY. She was an avid New York Yankee fan. Ethel will be sadly missed by her beloved children. Survived by her sons, Patrick Daley and his wife Gina of Rochester, NY; Brian Daley and his wife Kristine of Hinckley, NY; her daughters, Lisa Clark and her companion Allen Blanchard of Gloversville, NY and Tracey Kepner and her husband Robert of Clayville, NY. Also surviving are her 11 grandchildren. Her funeral will be held Tuesday March 30, 2010 at 11 a.m from the John L. Matt Funeral Home, where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 Noon at St. Patrick's-St Anthony's Church in Chadwicks,NY by the Rev. Arthur Krawczenko, Pastor. Interment will be in the spring at Sauquoit Valley Cemetery, Clayville,NY. Friends may call Monday 4 p.m - 7 p.m at the John L. Matt Funeral Home, 3309 Oneida St., Chadwicks, NY. Ethel's family would like to thank the many care givers at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for their kindness during her illness. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
