Edward V. Edgar, 90, of Ilion, NY, departed this life on Saturday January 7, 2023, with his loved ones by his side.  He was born and educated in New Bremen, NY, the son of the late Virgil and Esther Fee Edgar.

Edward enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Germany after the war, where he met and married the former Lieslotte Riegel.  The couple returned to the states after his discharge in 1954 and made their home in Ilion, NY, where Ed was employed at the US Postal Service for 35 years.

Edward will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Lotte, his daughters and sons in laws, Lori Scarafile and her husband Michael, Lisa DeKanek and her husband Charles (Chuck).  Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren Charles Scarafile and Michaela Scarafile.

The family honored Edward at a private time.  As per his wishes there are no calling hours or services at this time.  Inurnment will be forthcoming in Calvary Cemetery.
