Dorothy (Evans) Wiggins, 94, of Ilion ,NY departed this life on Sunday Feb.23,2020 in the comfort of her home.

She was born in West Winfield,NY the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Graham) Evans.

She graduated from West Winfield School and Central City Business Institute in Syracuse,NY.

On July 11,1946 she married Roger T Wiggins, a union that lasted 55 years until his death in 2002.

Dorothy started her career ( while raising her family) at her father's five and dime store in Frankfort, NY. She continued her business career as a  bookkeeper for various car dealerships and a dedicated bookkeeper for John Peretta Accounting Firm in Utica.

Dorothy loved her time in her gardens and enjoyed the company of her loyal feline, Kitty.

She is survived by: Gail James of Herkimer ; Janice Brunette and Don Shephard of Chadwicks and Patti Overacker, of Ilion.

Daughter- in-law; Cathy Wiggins of Mohawk Son-in-law; David Nemeyer, of Rome,NY. Her beloved g randchildren; Lisa and Robert LeoGrande, Michelle Otero, Calli Riesel, Kortney Delong, Chad Wiggins, Robert Phetterplace, Jr., Jeffrey Phetterplace, Daniel Phetterplace, Stephanie Brunette, Dustin Overacker and Erik Overacker

Dorothy is also survived by her beloved sister, Marian Banner of Weslaco,Texas

And her brother and wife, John and Lucy Evans of Frankfort,NY.

She was predeceased by her husband Roger Wiggins; son Terry Wiggins; daughter, Kathy Nemeyer.

Also predeceased by her brothers; Arthur "Stub" Evans, Charles "Bill" Evans, Thomas Evans, Everett Evans; her sister, Pearl Washburn.

Her daughters will cherish the memories of Sunday apple pies and fresh deep fried donuts, and the best macaroni salad! Dorothy left us the sweet gift of laughter and comical  moments in the past few weeks.
